Dear Participants of the 7th Minisymposium,
thank you very much for your visit to Stuttgart. We appreciated the scientific exchange and discussions and your active contribution to this great event.
We organize the seventh Poroelasticity Minisymposium on Tuesday, 20. February 2018.
It will be an informal one-day event (9:00 - 17:00) with presentations, posters, and plenty of time to elaborate and discuss new ideas and research directions. Theory, laboratory experiments and numerical investigations in the area of poroelasticity and rockphysics will be covered.
Besides the regular presentations, posters can be advertized in short 3-slides-3-minutes presentations to stimulate the discussions during the poster session.
The venue is at the University of Stuttgart, Germany.
The exact address is:
University Stuttgart - Campus Vaihingen
The minisymposium takes place in room 0.009.
To reach the university from the central station, take the S1 (to "Böblingen", "Herrenberg", or "Vaihingen") or the S2 or S3 (to "Flughafen" (=airport) or "Vaihingen"). Leave the train at exit "Universität Stuttgart".
On Monday (the day before):
We (the organizers of the Poroelasticity Minisymposium, among others) edit a special section in the journal "Geophysics" entitled:
Hydromechanical phenomena at the pore scale and their upscaling
This special section is not officially connected to the minisymposium; however, the topic is of course strongly related to the minisymposium.
We invite all minisymposium participants and everybody else to consider submitting their recent work to this special section.
Please contact us to express your interest in participating in the Poroelasticity Minisymposium or in any of the Monday-activities or for any other questions.
If you wish to present a talk or poster, please also contact us.
