Michal Kruszewski holds M.Eng. in Petroleum Engineering from Department of Drilling, Oil and Gas at AGH University of Science Technology in Cracow, Poland in 2017. During his education, he received grants for scientific research in geothermal drilling and well completion technology at Keilir Institute of Technology (University of Iceland) in 2016 and at Institute of Drilling Engineering and Fluid Mining at TU Bergakademie Freiberg in 2017. He gained his experience while working as a junior drilling engineer during drilling of the Iceland Deep Drilling Project 2 (DEEPEGS) well in Reykjanes, Iceland in 2016.
His research concerns drilling and well completion technology for deep geothermal resources with the main focus being cementing, well integrity and geomechanical modeling. His recent projects include GEMex (i.e. Cooperation in Geothermal energy research Europe-Mexico for development of Enhanced Geothermal Systems and Superhot Geothermal Systems) and 3D-RuhrMarie. Michal is also very active in promoting wider use of geothermal energy on a global scale in various international organisations.
