Short CV
Dr. Claudia Finger is, since January 2020, a research associate in the group Reservoir Engineering at the Fraunhofer IEG. From 2016 to 2020, she has been a research assistant in the group of Reservoir Engineering and Rock Physics at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Bochum University of Applied Sciences (HSBO). She obtained her PhD in July 2020 from the Ruhr-University Bochum. The focus of her PhD was the method of time-reverse imaging, an innovative simulation-based method for locating and characterising seismic events. In 2016, she obtained her Master of Science degree at the Institute of Geology, Mineralogy and Geophysics of the Ruhr University Bochum on the topic of seismic simulations in a tunnel scenario. Her research interests include the numerical simulation of elastic wave propagation in heterogeneous media, the analysis of passive seismic datasets using innovative analysis routines and the application of conventional seismic methods to novel applications such as geothermal reservoirs.
